Write a Letter to a Disney Character

If your child writes a letter to their favorite Disney character, there’s a chance Disney will write back. Not guaranteed. Not promised. But still possible.

Here’s what’s true right now.

💌 Kids Can Still Send Letters to Disney Characters

Disney still accepts fan mail at two official addresses:

Walt Disney Company Fan Mail Walt Disney Company Attn: Fan Mail Department 500 South Buena Vista Street Burbank, CA 91521

Walt Disney World Communications P.O. Box 10040 Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0040

Parents can send letters for one child or multiple children. Each child can write their own letter. You can even send more than one letter over time.

✨ Will Disney Write Back?

Replies are not guaranteed. But they do still happen.

Families report receiving postcards or printed autographs from characters like Mickey, Minnie, the Princesses, and classic favorites. Some arrive in about 4 to 6 weeks. Some take longer. Some never arrive. It’s a sprinkle of pixie dust, not a promise.

Adding a self‑addressed stamped envelope can help.

🧒 Why This Is Still Worth Doing

Writing a letter to a character is a sweet activity for kids. They get to practice writing. They get to share what they love. And they get to hope for a little magic.

Even if nothing arrives, the experience itself is fun. If something does arrive, it becomes a core memory.

✍️ What Kids Usually Write

  • Most kids tell their character why they love them.
  • Some share a favorite movie moment.
  • Some ask questions.
  • Some draw pictures.
There’s no wrong way to send a little magic into the mailbox.

📬 Tips for Better Chances

  • Use one of the official addresses above.
  • Include a self‑addressed stamped envelope.
  • Keep the letter short and sweet.
  • Let your child’s personality shine.
  • Expect a “maybe” instead of a guarantee.

A little magic in the mailbox is never guaranteed, but it’s always worth sending.
