🚨 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗪𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥!
𝗪𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘!
For the past two years, a 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 has been researching issues, reviewing public records, attending meetings, speaking during public comment, and pushing for improvements at Gwinnett Animal Shelter.
Because of those efforts, many of the issues we’ve been talking about are 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮.
On Monday, the Animal Advisory Council is scheduled to discuss:
🐾 Cameras in the shelter
🐾 An independent shelter audit�
🐾 The $250 emergency medical cap�
🐾 Spay/neuter vouchers & microchip program�
🐾 Volunteer engagement
🐾 Rescue plea improvements�
🐾 Playgroups & enrichment�
🐾 ORRs and reporting transparency�
🐾 A proposal to ban pet store sales for profit�
🐾 2027 budget proposals
𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀. They represent real opportunities to improve the lives of animals in Gwinnett County.
But here’s the reality…
𝗔 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲.
County leadership needs to see that the community cares about these issues—not just the same few people showing up every meeting.
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸.
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁.
