(1) Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program:
This year the Barnes and Noble’s summer reading program:
WHAT: gives out a free book to each child who reads and records 8 books during the summer.
AGES: They will choose from many free books for every kid in grades 1-6.
DEADLINE: This summer reading program runs May 15 – September 3, 2018.
(2) BOOKS-A-MILLION Summer Reading Program
WHAT: Read any four books from their specific Summer Reading Adventure section (by age group), submit your list in the store and receive a prize (pencil case with pencils).
(3) Get Georgia Reading – Free Digital Books!
Through a partnership between Get Georgia Reading – Campaign for Grade-Level Reading and myON, all educators, librarians, students and parents in Georgia have free access to thousands of enhanced digital books available in myON through August 31, 2018.
(4) Gwinnett Public Library Program – 2018 Summer Reading Program:
Program for Kids AND Adults!
The Summer Reading Program helps kids practice their reading skills while having fun! Prizes, events, and lots of great books are available all summer long.
Readers of all ages are welcome to participate. Register for the program on Beanstack to keep track of reading activities, earn digital badges, collect great prizes, and more!
Kids will receive a Certificate of Recognition and a chance to win super awesome stuff like a free book of their choice, tickets to a Gwinnett Braves Game, free Laser Quest play, a $75 LEGO gift card or even a Chromebook laptop computer! Prizes vary by age and are available while supplies last.
Fun programs such as crafts, movies, storytimes, and special guest performers for all ages are free and open to individual children and their accompanying adult. Large groups, including camps or classes, cannot be accommodated.
